Marie Preca will not stand for abortion
Malta's recently elected president, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca has confirmed that her government will never legalise abortion. The president, as she spoke to a gathering of pro-life organisations, admitted that she was "personally dead set against" abortion and said she would never sign legislation allowing abortion.
This move, by a country's political leader, is to be applauded for being forthright in standing for the rights of the unborn child. The lessons we in Scotland and the United Kingdom could draw from this are obvious.
