From today's reading (Romans 8:18-25)
'I think that what we suffer in this life can never be compared to the glory, as yet unrevealed, which is waiting for us.'
In this reading St Paul highlights the joy that awaits us in Heaven. It has been said before on this blog that suffering will happen and we are to accept that suffering as part of God's Divine Plan and we must trust that it is for the greater good and part of our own necessary sanctification.
St Paul in this reading is putting that suffering in perspective. Yes, you will suffer. But the pain and sorrow you feel through that suffering is simply incomparable with the complete joy and happiness you will feel in Heaven.
Heaven is our destiny. Heaven is our joy. Heaven is our glory. Heaven is our home.
