Taken from St Paul’s letter to the Romans (1:16-25)
‘For what can be known about God is perfectly plain to them since God himself has made it plain. Ever since God created the world his everlasting power and deity – however invisible – have been there for the mind to see in the things he has made.’
This passage dovetails perfectly with yesterday’s Gospel about people seeking a sign from God. God, Paul says, has made himself perfectly clear to people. Even though some of it may not be visible, the evidence is there.
It would be useful at this juncture to read yesterday’s ‘Dwelling on the Word of God’ if you haven’t already done so as it tackles this very question of mankind seeking a sign from God: Please click this link to access it.
